The enemy within?

Have a read:

Then imagine this scene:

Recruitment Officer: 'Sorry you can't come in.'
Potential Applicant: 'Why?'
Recruitment Officer: 'No white males are allowed to apply, sorry.'
Potential Applicant: 'But i'm homosexual.'
Recruitment Officer: 'Well that's a different story, when are you available to become a Student Police Officer?'

Some people say that if they were to indicate that they are a female homosexual Asian they can book a place as a Student Officer even before they have filled out the application, you suggest people read the link above and make up their own mind.

The Police Force (you refuse to call it a service) should be more representative of the community it polices, you have no objection to this.

But achieving this goal by rejecting people or accepting people based on Colour, Sexuality or Gender is a non starter, because how can a Police Force punish racism and discrimination if they themselves are actively engaging in it?

I remember before all this was deemed illegal people were saying how it was a good idea and totally acceptable . . . is it now??
