The price of peace?

As a brave soldier lay on the ground, a priest gave him the last rites, his murderer was sent to prison for life, he was let out of that jail nine years later, by a 'peace agreement'.

With such an act of injustice being the price of peace, it makes you question the very nature of it, and whether or not it is worth fighting for.

'We will not learn how to live together in peace by killing each other's children.'

Jimmy Carter, President of the United States.

Joe,

I remember that incident well, it is burnt into my psyche. Peace agreement or no - and it means so much to many of the good people of the north portion of the Island - the murderer was just that and anyone watching that day will agree.
